Your Privacy Matters
Fasting Buddy is built with a privacy-first approach. All your data stays on your device.
Data Storage
- All fasting records, weight logs, streaks, and achievements are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
- No data is sent to external servers.
- No user account or registration is required.
AI Coach
When you use the AI Fasting Coach feature, your questions are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. No personal health data beyond what you type in your question is shared. Google's privacy policy applies to API interactions.
Permissions
- Notifications — Used only for fasting reminders you set.
- Vibration — Used for haptic feedback on milestones.
Data Deletion
You can delete all your data at any time from Profile → Settings → Reset All Data. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
Fasting Buddy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
