Privacy Policy

GSC Dashboard ("we", "our", or "the App") is a mobile application developed by Rizwan Shoaib. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Google Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we access the following from your Google account:

• Your name and email address (for display purposes only)
• Your profile picture (for display purposes only)
• An authentication token to access Google Search Console on your behalf

Google Search Console Data

The App accesses your Google Search Console data using read-only permissions, including:

• Search performance data (clicks, impressions, CTR, position)
• Search queries and page URLs
• Sitemap information
• URL inspection results

This Search Console data is shown to you within the App and stays on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or to our analytics.

Locally Stored Data

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Your selected site preferences and date range settings
• Keyword watchlist and goal tracking data
• SEO quiz progress and statistics

Advertising Data

GSC Dashboard is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob collects a device advertising identifier (AD ID) and related device and diagnostic information (such as device type, coarse/approximate location derived from IP, and ad-interaction events). This data is collected and processed by Google as an independent advertising provider, in accordance with Google's advertising policies. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we present a consent prompt (Google's UMP) before serving personalized ads; if you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown. We ourselves do not receive, store, or process this advertising data.

Usage and Analytics Data

None of our own. The App contains no first-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. Aside from the Google AdMob advertising described above, we do not collect app-usage events or any location information, and nothing about how you use the App's features is transmitted to us.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Display your Google Search Console analytics data within the App
• Generate SEO suggestions and insights based on your data — this analysis runs entirely on your device using rule-based logic, with no AI service and no backend involved
• Track your quiz progress and learning streaks

3. Data Storage and Security

All Search Console data processing happens locally on your device. Specifically:

• No backend servers: We do not operate any servers that receive, store, or process your Search Console data or account information.
• Secure token storage: Your Google authentication tokens are stored using your device's secure storage (Expo SecureStore), which uses the Android Keystore system.
• Local preferences: App settings and preferences are stored using on-device AsyncStorage.
• Advertising: The App includes the Google AdMob advertising SDK, which collects a device advertising identifier (AD ID) and related device information to serve and measure ads, as described in "Advertising Data" above. It bundles no first-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

4. Third-Party Services

The App communicates directly with the following third-party services from your device:

• Google Sign-In: For authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Search Console API: For retrieving your search performance data. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob: For serving and measuring in-app advertising. AdMob collects a device advertising identifier (AD ID) and related device information as described above. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising policies.

The App contacts these Google services directly from your device. Your Search Console data and account information are never shared with any third party; the only data shared for advertising is the AD ID and device information collected by AdMob, which Google processes as an advertising provider.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Your Google account information and Search Console data stay on your device and are transmitted only to Google's Sign-In and Search Console APIs, on your behalf, as described above.

For advertising, the Google AdMob SDK collects and shares a device advertising identifier (AD ID) and related device information with Google, acting as an advertising provider, to serve and measure ads. This is the only data shared with a third party, and it is handled by Google under its own policies. We do not receive this data ourselves.

6. Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Data is retained as long as you have the App installed.
• Signing out removes your authentication tokens and cached data.
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: All your data is visible within the App.
• Delete: Sign out to remove cached data, or uninstall the App to remove all data.
• Revoke access: You can revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
