This Privacy Policy explains how the Hunt mobile application
(the “App”, package name com.ovctech.hunt), developed by
Rizwan Shoaib (“we”, “us”, “our”),
handles your information. In short: Hunt does not collect, transmit, or
share any personal data.
1. No Data Collection
Hunt is a fully offline, 100% on-device job-application tracker. We do not collect, store on our servers, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The App has:
- No account creation, login, or sign-up.
- No backend servers or cloud storage operated by us.
- No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
- No access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or photos.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Everything you enter — such as job entries, company and role details, application stages, reminders, and notes — is stored only on your device in the App’s local SQLite database. This information never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or any third party.
Because this data is stored locally, it remains entirely under your control. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us.
3. Reminders & Notifications
Hunt can schedule local reminders to help you follow up on your applications. These reminders are generated and delivered entirely on your device using the operating system’s local notification features. No reminder content is sent to us or any external service. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
4. Permissions
Hunt does not request access to sensitive device permissions such as location, contacts, camera, or microphone. It may request permission to show local notifications so it can deliver the reminders you set. Granting this is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
5. Children’s Privacy
Hunt does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for general audiences.
6. Data Security
Since your data is stored only on your own device and never transmitted, its security depends on your device’s own protections (e.g., screen lock and OS-level security). We recommend keeping your device secured.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
