Ink Rush has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of its own. Your scores stay on your phone. The app is free and supported by ads, and it uses Google's analytics and crash reporting tools — so it is not a zero-data app, and this policy explains exactly what those two things involve.
Ink Rush shows you a colour word printed in a different colour, and you tap the colour of the ink before the timer runs out. Your best score, the number of games you have played, and your sound on/off preference are saved in the app's own private storage on your device. There is no backend to send them to, no account to attach them to, and no sync.
Ink Rush is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. Ads appear on the Home and Game Over screens only — never during a round. To serve them, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects limited advertising data, which may include your device's advertising ID, coarse device and app information, and general location inferred from your IP address.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app shows you Google's consent form the first time it runs and honours your choice. If you do not consent to personalised ads, the app requests non-personalised ads instead. You can reset your device advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation at any time in your Android settings, under Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Google's handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Ink Rush uses Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring to understand how the game is used and to find crashes and slowdowns. These tools collect app usage events (for example: a run started, a run ended and its score), crash reports and stack traces, and technical device information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and a randomly generated installation identifier.
This data is about the app, not about you personally. It is not linked to a name or an email address, because the app never asks for either. Google's practices are described in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
Ink Rush requests no other permissions. It cannot read your files, your location, your camera, or your microphone.
Ink Rush is intended for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, email us at the address below and we will delete anything we hold.
Ad content is limited to Google's "G" (general audience) rating. Google separately applies its own ad-serving protections for teenagers: for signed-in users it knows to be under 18, ad personalisation is disabled and sensitive ad categories are restricted. That behaviour is Google's, applied on its side, and the app does not need to ask you your age for it to happen.
Ink Rush is entertainment. The Stroop task it is based on is used in psychology research, but this app is not a diagnostic, screening, or treatment tool, and no score it shows you means anything clinically.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
