This Privacy Policy explains how the MyCash mobile application
(the “App”, package name com.ovctech.mycash), developed by
OVC Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”),
handles your information. In short: MyCash does not collect, transmit, or
share any personal data.
1. No Data Collection
MyCash is a fully offline, local-only cash book. We do not collect, store on our servers, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The App has:
- No account creation, login, or sign-up.
- No backend servers or cloud storage operated by us.
- No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
- No access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or photos.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Any data you enter — such as cash in/out entries, amounts, descriptions, dates, and currency preferences — is stored only on your device using the device’s local storage (AsyncStorage). This information never leaves your phone and is never sent to us or any third party.
Because this data is stored locally, it remains under your control. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us.
3. Sharing to WhatsApp and Other Apps
MyCash includes an optional feature to share an individual entry as a text message through WhatsApp or your device’s standard share sheet. This action is performed entirely by you and only when you tap “Share”. The content is handed off to the app you choose; we do not see, intercept, or store anything you share. The privacy practices of WhatsApp or any other app you select are governed by their own policies.
4. Permissions
MyCash does not request access to sensitive device permissions such as location, contacts, camera, or microphone. The only outbound action is opening another app (e.g., WhatsApp) when you explicitly choose to share an entry.
5. Children’s Privacy
MyCash does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for general audiences.
6. Data Security
Since your data is stored only on your own device and never transmitted, its security depends on your device’s own protections (e.g., screen lock and OS-level security). We recommend keeping your device secured.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
