developed and published by Rizwan Shoaib. We take your privacy seriously.
Sleep Sounds is designed to help you relax and sleep better using soothing sounds.
This policy explains what data the app uses, why, and how it's handled.
Data We Access
Sound preferences — your selected sounds, volume levels,
and timer settings are stored locally on your device only
and are never transmitted to our servers.
Usage and diagnostic data — Google Analytics for Firebase
and Firebase Crashlytics collect app-interaction events (screens opened, sessions),
an app-instance identifier, coarse device information, an approximate location
derived from your IP address, and crash reports with stack traces. This is used to
understand how the app is used and to fix faults.
Data We Do NOT Collect
We do NOT collect your personal information (name, email, phone number)
We do NOT track your location
We do NOT require account creation or login
We do NOT sell or share your personal data
We do NOT show ads or use an advertising ID
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
Google Analytics for Firebase — usage analytics that
help us see which sounds and features are used. It collects an app-instance identifier,
app-interaction events, coarse device information and an approximate location derived
from your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting. It collects stack
traces, the app state at the moment of a crash, device metadata and a Crashlytics
installation identifier.
Sleep Sounds contains no advertising. It is a paid app, it does not
include the Google Mobile Ads SDK, and it does not request or use the Android
advertising ID. Google acts as our service provider for the analytics and crash
reporting above; that data is not shared with advertisers or any other third party.
An earlier version of this policy described AdMob advertising — that was
inaccurate and has been corrected.
Local Storage
The app stores the following data locally on your device:
Your sound preferences and mixer settings
Timer configurations
App settings
This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by
clearing the app's data in your device settings.
Permissions
Internet — Required for loading advertisements.
Notifications — Optional. Used for timer notifications.
Data Retention & Deletion
All user preferences are stored locally on your device only. We do not store any of your
data on external servers.
How to delete your data:
Go to your device's Settings → Apps → Sleep Sounds → Storage → Clear Data
to erase all locally stored app data.
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all associated data from your device.
Children's Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app is suitable for
general audiences.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the
"Last updated" date at the top.
